Fund For The Public Interest is a national nonprofit organization working to increase the visibility, membership and political power of the nation's leading environmental and progressive groups.
Job Description
| Companies including BP and Monsanto spend millions of dollars to spin the news and polish their brands while they fight critical legislation that will save our environment, ensure equal rights, and protect public health. The difference between winning and losing these critical campaigns — and making sure the public hears the true story — is YOU. Lead grassroots campaigns to preserve the environment, protect consumers, defend equal rights and more. The Fund needs smart and talented leaders to be directors to run campaign offices, recruit staff, and get out into the community to educate citizens about critical issues. By running massive campaigns for top non-profits to educate and activate citizens, we can go up against companies like BP and protect our environment. We can help average Americans stand up to Monsanto and make sure our government stops subsidizing unhealthy food. By teaching new activists how to engage other citizens on issues they care about, we can combat the misinformation that Fox News spreads every day. | |
